Trying to rig up a webcam for a nestbox is always a challenge. You don’t have much control and have to work with what you’ve got. And once you suspect there’s nestbox activity you want to get the camera up as quickly as possible so as not to disturb the birds.
It looks like there’s a blue tit investigating this box. It’s an old log nestbox made of silver birch and attached to a Silver Birch tree. The motion detection software has hard time because sunlight dappling through the leaves in the breeze causes lots of false-positives.
